Feature, Grid 13: only one way to go from the back grid and i had discussed with the wife up in the stands how shagged and weak the shell now is and she has decided that she is hellbent on finding me a new one and is even prepared to work her butt off out in the shed with me to make it happen so this was it didn't give a shit if i wrecked it, lined up on the dummy grid i told her as she stood by the car to look over at the pit of 9g as i was getting the hairy eyeball bigtime from that direction, she was shocked at just how much venom she saw in the faces over there and calmed me down to keep myself in check and not retaliate to any shit out there, track was dry this time and the race got away at a real fast pace, made up a couple of spots and came upon 75G (a poxy old RWD sigma) that is back out for its first meeting in a couple of years with a fresh motor being driven by a mate of guess who)). Had a clean pass lined up down the back straight with a good car width gap and lot more pace on when WHAM the bugger swerved to deliberately hit me a couple of times (i heard later he was being cheered on by a crew on a final warning) got clear without dishing any back (silly pricks beneath me and not worth stooping for) and got a few good laps in and figured the hopping around in the corners is from the right rear shock getting a few dents on the top sleeve when we were jacking it out last week, finished 9th and got asked to go up to the tower once i had loaded onto the trailer for my version of events, turns out they got a real good view and sympathised with me being highly pissed off and asked me to stay well away from the other driver - found out later he got a $60 fine.
The cars still on the trailer now, took the bumper cover off after work and opened the bonnet for a bit of a look, the raadiators losing a bit of water and everything around its pretty well mangled - i'm still licking my wounds and deciding what to do with it in the meantime, not keen on missing any racing but dont want to go out in a car thats not up to any punishment in a class thats turned to bullshit where there seems to be two sets of rules sometimes depending on who you are, i've got a lot of people trying to get me to go over to streetstocks including quite a few of the streety drivers so who knows but it wont be this season

streetstocks are not where you want to go its more work straightening out cars than you do now we used to run HQ's and valiants and would spend 2 weeks solid between meats fixing damage it soon gets old you want to make a real saloon or wait for the 6 shooter class to arrive
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Re: VN Production Saloon
yeah mate i hear ya, thing is the streety guys here help each other out but a agree with your point, i'd love to step up to saloons but folding is the issue and as for sixshooters the concept is very appealing but i DO NOT want to get into open wheelers - touch a wheel and your tumbleweed and my body is too old and fucked up to cope with that and the wifes been a widow once already before i came alongdelcowizzid wrote:streetstocks are not where you want to go its more work straightening out cars than you do now we used to run HQ's and valiants and would spend 2 weeks solid between meats fixing damage it soon gets old you want to make a real saloon or wait for the 6 shooter class to arrive

I'd love to mate but dirt is all thats viable living in Gizzy - when i lived in Aucks i was forever at Puke or Meremere but never behind the wheel, i've come to love the challenge of the dirt just hate the bullshit and politics but ya get that everywhere i 'spose and this is a cool place to live - 2 minute drive to the beach, 5mins to work/town (so i can come home for lunch) only 3kms to the track without having to be a millionairedelcowizzid wrote:maybe its time to race on seal not dirt LOL come join us for some fun theres so many events on we could be racing nearly every week if we wanted to
Besides- if i was racing with you every week we'd be constantly working on ever more broken shit
