A2l converter tool

Post by kur4o »

Here some screenshots of a new tool being developed to convert various formats to various formats.

Main features is to
- parse a2l files to more usable Universal patcher xml format.
- convert a2l files to IDA pro scripts.
- import/export csv files and update existing files by a key
- edit a2l files addresses by specific offset.
- convert a2l files to empty tableseek files

As a side project
- winols parser, that convert .ols and .kp to Universal patcher xml format.

Here some screenshots using files floating on the web.

This is genuinely an amazing tool!
Understanding all offsets to that degree and then being able to import directly in IDA would make it SO much faster to design initial custom operating systems.

Awesome work kur4o!!

That is a great tool for when A2Ls are available. I wont sticky the thread yet since the tool isnt here, but if you add it to the first post later or create another post I will. TIA!

Thanks guys, it is been lots of effort to make it a reality. Still no ETA when it will be available. Some form of protection needs to be added , to avoid crooks take advantage of it in unusual way.

Currently some cax files are on the import/export list and some examples will be nice, especially the newer cax8 format.

I'll be honest if the app is native or protected most people won't use it as they will assume it will exfiltrate their a2ls
