Haha the sheds pretty tidy and its where it lives when not being used.

yeah they arnt scared to port them over there probably no wonder they make so much more power than most aussie turbo builds. so you think we can go anywhere near that big :mrgreen: dont happen to have a pic of one inlet and exhaust ripped out to the theoratical max :D they reckon a bowl job can gain 30-40% flow ide hate to know how much extra them heads above give over stock LOL scored a set of heads with larger valves and some porting for the VB that may need a full hog out when you get time and need some coin :mrgreen:

Had a couple of rainouts and a car painted up a couple of days after my last race so took a wee bit of time on another wee project then went scrounging for pipe, came up with some factory pipe over/around the rear suspension ( i'm pretty sure i know what model of car but i pride won't let me utter it publicly) all good quality mandrel bends in 2 1/4" a 16" bit of 2 1/4 straight and a 18" bit of 3 1/2 and off came the factory y-pipe with all its kinked/squashed puny-ness as per original thats done the job for almost three seasons thanks to andrew426 and got busy.

I got int the merge with the die grinder and made the insides all nice then used some 3 1/2 with a wedge cut out of it blend the 3 inch oval into 2 1/4 round over a length of 5 1/2" , then came the termination box

Got the termination box finished off os saturday and had to hang a bit of pipe off the back of it to an old R8 Maloo muffler in the stock location in front of the diff with a dump off that to shut the thing up a bit, sounds mean.

Arrived at the track late as is often the case but starting an hour earlier now that daylight savings over is a real prick, not the only one there was a biiiig cue at scrutineering.

Pulled the three marble

Main 1: grid three.

clean start and there was some serious jostling for position but i managed to stay out of contact with anyone and settled into fourth, clawed my way into third and had the 17G ms8 Mazda tailing me as i went hunting for the lead cars, the car was awesome - wen't wherever i pointed it and hooked pretty hard on the gas which was needed cos it was shoving me down the straights quicker than before with the new exhaust which sounds angry as hell full noise from my seat :D I've changed my line a bit lately as i feel more confident in the car and have beenn going deeper down the straights and cutting down hard towards the pole line and its been working ,these FWD's do not expect my old beast to come through them on the inside crossed up with dirt flying outta the rear end :punk: 10g & 9G we're in a battle for the lead and on lap 7 they both wen't a bit high through turn 3 and i was cutting domn hard and fast and fluked the time of my run perfectly and drove through cleanly with a nice gap inside 9g and spotted 10g stepping up a groove stuglling as i was gaining momentum coming out of four when i got hit in theright rear quarter , 9G having a tap for passing, which unsettled the car a bit and i hopped up a groove in front of him gathering it up and then as i turned out of four onto the straight he hit me again - left rear wheel this time and round i went 180 and into the grass, got back on and finished dead last

Back to the pits pretty pissed off, quick look at the car , left rear tyre with ripped up sidewall and flat and cosmetics - and bloody sick of the same people bashing my car around for no good reason :rant:

Hauled up to the tower and was first called in which is always good, some flaggies reckoned i tapped him but the rest of the calls they'd had from other officials had me clean and an assurance they would be dealing with the driver of 9g. He got excluded from that race - thats all for what thee refs aknowledged was a streetstock type spin :silent: :silent: :roll:

Holden 202 yeah mate free from first join

Delco - ya reckon? i liked the idea of the scavenging and it would mean another termination box just as big for the other side

Main 2: grid 9;

Inside again and behind 9G on the dummy grid, this race is all a bit of a blurr, had a couple of orange situations and by the flag i had worked my way up to 4th without swapping paint with anyone, 9g cot a bit outta shape shoving my mates VL around which gave me a gap to grab two spots, the car was flying.

Feature: Grid 8;

High line; had a wee pink pulsar in front of me on the grid, 13G my mate in his VL beside me and a gap in front of him. pace car went in real early and as we came into three the lights went out and people started going for it, i gave 31g (the pulsar) a hurry up nudge then shot around it on the outside and made up about three spots by the time i turned into turn one then orange light. False start the green hadn't come on try again. Second start was clean and i had a couple of good battles and got into third and was hauling in the lead cars when the flag dropped - two more laps mister pleeaasse HAHA well pleased with my nights racing. Even though the first result was shit i got a 17.89 which is pretty good and in the feature i did a 17.68 a personal best so far.

That was the final meeting of the season for Gisborne but i don't feel i'm done yet, the wifes barina is shitting itself and she wants a new ride, shes looking at something to haul the family, dog and race car, if it happens we might have to test drive it to Rotorua at easter but i'm not holding my breath.
She's got her eye on a '03 4x2 Rodeo V6 auto with lpg - cheaper rego, no road user tax and being auto she'll drive it
