Very nice! Should be some nice features with the DBW that could be implemented.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Looking good. Is that a orange Celica I see in the last pic being used as a work bench?

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Looking good, the Haltech will add lots things to play with.
Shake down at Gunnedah in August? That's when my FJ will get it's shake down, before the 6 Bangers in September.

The Torana has been retired from racing, back to road duties, after I fix some rust that has appeared in the "A" pillars. Since the 6 Bangers in 2018, I've only raced once in 2019 then May 2022, so I could be a bit rusty.

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
Ok so very exciting update (well for me at least)
this has been a very long time in the making, kinda hard to believe the day has finally come!
Its not totally finished, still fitting door locks and windows etc but all the body panels are on and its oh so close to getting tech inspection (hoping to do it early next week when this rain fucks off!
I don't believe i posted much here, but after i got the haltech installed i took it to the dyno, long story short i fucked some settings and boosted it to 32psi!
And at the time it blew coolant out the overflow, being fairly certain it blew the head gasket i pulled the head off, and seeing some dark marks between cylinder and water i decided to go new head gasket and skim the head / block, and to do this it needed the block stripped down.
On pulling it apart i found a few issues, which prompted me to do a handful of fixes and ended up, new ring and bearings, hone bores, linish crank, valve seats re-cut, and i ported the head a bit while it was apart, then skim the block and head and threw it all back together.
So fired it up, all happy, up to temp fans on and off as they should, all good ready for the dyno!
So to say the dyno day was hard work would be a massive understatement! Went to fire it up on the day, nothing, fucked around for about 20 minutes (figured i'd flooded it etc) put new plugs in and off it went .... figured its warmed up now so shouldn't have the issues at the dyno!
Get to the dyno, same shit, we found it had no spark, so fucked around with the relay that powers the coils cause its lugs were a bit loose, anyways got it going, and on the dyno, warmed it up, calibrated the speed, and got the timing reference angle confirmed, then was loading it up to bed the rings in and after a bit of that it just died, no spark again.
long story short, the crank trigger wire had shorted out internally (its been in the gemini before this car and had been in use for 10 yrs) one we got it all working again we did a heap of power runs, its clear i'm getting boost creep so will have to look at the wastegate, its worse than it was before, probably makes sense, more compression and better flowing head probably all compounding the problem.
anyways it made a best of 475hp which is fucking crazy for me and everything looks happy and ready to race finally (other than the crank trigger wiring needing replacing and the boost creep)
this is the only decent video my dad got of the power runs!

Awesome, what was the max torque? I am installing the windows in my Ute this weekend and hopefully will be ready for the quarter mile soon.
