hello,
new member, probably an old ask, or could be a stupid one but...
"those that ask stupid questions, don't make stupid mistakes"
I have a z12xe 2002, its not standard, an last dyno run came in at 88hp (yes it may just go back too the future) and we've hit a ceiling with the stock tune/map/program. an inevitable problem.
ecu swap not within the scope of the current project, trying to work with what i got.
ive got carprog and opcom, got a bin file from the ecu. cannot for the life of me get an xdf (altho it is the same ecu as the z20let, the parameters/checksums/tables dont line up)
i would like to be able to remove the cat from the program, tweak the graphs for a smoother curve blah di blah...
yes i have coding knowledge but its on pic proccesors and its 15 yrs under the bridge, some overlap here but not much in the xdf creation arena.
THE ASK;
a complete xdf for the 2002 opel/vauxhall corsa c 1200 sxi 16v (non twinport) (non abs)
or
hold my hand through the back engineering process, what info am i missing, am i asking the wrong questions?
thankyou for your time, and i hope i may help you in the future.
ed
------edit-------
the corsa c is a very cheap/repairable/accessable platform for modding...why do people see it as pointless? things are what you make them, an i want to know how much power this tiny block can throw.
z12xe project, yes probably pointless..

Re: z12xe project, yes probably pointless..additional
i am aware there is a hack that involves identifying the sensor line from the maf sensor and splicing a potentiometer in for on the fly adjustments (the ecu itself does not support "live trimming"). im looking into this.

Might be a good idea to post the bin, and mention which model of ECM it comes from. ECM hardware and software part numbers would be helpful too. I'm not familiar with Opcom, but I'd hope it would have the ability to gather that info.

thankyou for your time,
i have a screenshot of the opcom readout s attached, and the bin ripped from the ecu, also attached.
any further required info will be attached.

That's not the bin. Looks like it might just be the EEPROM. As best I can tell after a quick Google search, the bin should be 768k. What you have isn't even 2k.
