I have a 12225081 pcm out of a 2004 VZ SS Ute 5.7 6 speed that I need a XDF for.
Anyone come across this PCM and have an XDF or know if the 12225074 will work;, I will attempt to download and share later this week.

From googling 12225081 (as I dont see that it is an operating system) I do see it coming up as a part number for a P01 PCM in 2004 Chevy Lumina. So, assuming its a P01 and a 2004 VY Commodore, that'll mean its the 12225074 operating system and that XDF should work. When you read it with PCMHammer, note the Operating System ID on the screen (OSID) and check that its 12225074. FYI when looking for definitions use operating system, not part number, as that is what matters and the same part number might have different operating systems on it. I could only determine that its 12225074 because I know thats the only operating system holden used on the VY commodore in that year. But for American readers with different cars they cant make the same assumption and it might not be true for the next car you try to work on either.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396
