would you believe it was 1 second slower than the best time its run out there

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Isn't that the best feeling when you find the root cause of a long standing and vague issue?
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

From the video clip it looks like lots of wheel spin. Problem is improve the grip increase the chances of breakage. A local subi repairer put a much larger turbo on his race car Casper and it then ran slower times due to increased wheel spin.

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
yeah they re-surfaced the airport at the middle of last year and its certainly slipperier than it used to be, it didnt help i was getting boost creep and not able to dial in less boost, i would have been able to get down the track way better if i could!

Good to hear you got your wastegate problem sorted. What boost are you running? I need to get mine sorted and increase boost.

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
it was on about 19psi with the new gate, but i will probably change springs and get it to around 13-15 and then use the boost controller from there
