Tried out my new tools. No luck. Seen "vehicle theft status: seen" and "OK to run : no" and wondering if it just locked itself off, and "Ignition start switch: off" no matter what I did.
Early trial, toggling things before fully understanding.

Finally read the EEPROM on the back.

Datasheet says 32KB. I assume the file is padded bigger than actual because I didn't enter correct info in CH341A software. For all I know, it could have looped through and read it multiple times.

apparently the VIN number is in the EEPROM 482 times, plus the VIN missing 1st digit 1 time.

I must be doing something wrong. I selected 128MB and the file isn't 90% padding.

Alright, hex editted away everything after address FFF.

Just learned how much selecting the correct model EEPROM in programming software can matter.
1st digit of VIN isn't missing now, and a bunch of "data" previously there is just blank now. Timing issues I guess, on top of address wrap around.
I think I have it right now.
