Nothing like an eventful drag weekend, keeps you on the ball. You must have replacing gearbox's down to a fine art by now though

Will have to check out these data logs, but maybe a camira module does not have the energy to ignite methanol

Re: Casino Drags are on again!! - 21st May
nah i don't think its the ignition, cause i had one run that was perfect, it seems if i go too lean its not happy, i was targetting 5.5 AFR at WOT and when i got it closer to that is where i had the issues, so for the next run i left the ve table where it was and change the AFR table to 5.2 at WOT and that fixed the miss issue ..... i think more than anything its a matter of learning what methanol wants compared to petrol ... for example, 5.50 AFR is approx 12.6 in petrol terms, and that was too lean, but 5.2 is approx 11.90 in petrol and thats where it was happy.....
i dunno, it might have just been because the engine way running a bit hot or any other number of factors, but its also always been really rich and saturday was the first real chance i got to lean it out a bit to get it to target so yeah .... its all time and learning

#51 6 Cylinder
1st: 11.42
2nd: 10.1
3rd: 10.71
4th: 10.42
Fastest: 10.1
Well heres my times for Casino. Jayme reckons the casino track is about 1 second slower than a normal strip due to dodgy traction and i agree
my best 1/8th time at Sydney was 9.253 so that seems to corelate to roughly the same as my best time.
as you can see though, the times were all over the shop with the car being the best on the 2nd run.
i missed my 3rd run due to flat battery, and the 5th one wasn't timed as it was just run what ya brung at the end .... but it had a few misses and didn't feel anything special!
if anyone wants to see it all the times for the day are here: http://dragcity.com.au/?page_id=6

Cool video
The RPM trace looks very jumpy in teh video, is it like this or is that just an illusion from filming the computer screen?

Re: Casino Drags are on again!! - 21st May
that is a result of using message 6 logging only the info you see in the bottom half of that video, because theres a smaller message getting sent out of the ECM it can send information alot more often which the end result is much higher resolution logs, add to that i have a crank trigger thats run off the dizzy, which has a gear to the cam then the cam has a gear to the crank, so theres the possibility of alot of slop in all those gears.
if you've ever done a flat out log in a car on the street using the normal adx to log you'll find that you might get one or two cells blank on your histogram, using message 6 pretty much eliminates that issue.
even the map sensor log is all spikey from the extra resolution....
this is a log of my last run for the day, you can see how fine the resolution is of the graphs. oh and just so you know the abbreviations on the labels are short so the logger can display them.
CTS = Coolant temp
KPA = MAP Sensor
WAF = wideband air fuel
TAF = target air fuel
ADV = Spark Advance

Does this convertor have much of a stall or is it std?
You don't appear to have much timing in this tune, I generally run about 34° total on a Holden 6 on methanol. Yours appears to drop below 20° on the hit of the throttle.
