Its a LC-1, doesn't have any gauges or anything, but I figured that TP5 would display what I wanted.

At a stand still its idling perfect at the moment, even during cold start, super happy with that! It does still 'dip' when coasting thou, but doesn't stall the engine, so im going to wind the throttle stop out a litte more until there's a few more IAC steps, and see if that helps things at all.

Re: newbie - 12p tune - Wideband turned up!

Post by SirGollum »

Hi Guys!

Well, ive now got the Wideband installed and looks to be working well. As a experiment I enabled to Wideband VE learn and went for a quick drive, after a little while, it starting pinging......and then got worse and worse....So im assuming that the bad fueling (Seems to run at about 12.5ish on the WB) was hiding to much timing ? Does this sound about right ?

Soo....anyway, I re uploaded the bin before I set VE Learn, and alls good again. Im definatley on the hunt for knock sensor again now...

I did find this on ebay at the moment...

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VN-VP-V8-HSV ... 2a122c8fc2

Seems to be legit, and numbers seem to line up ok (https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... =20#p13685)

But the knock board doesn't seem to have a serial starting in "1F", so am unsure if this would work with the 12p tune ? Can anyone confirm or deny for me please ?

Slowly getting there!

Thanks

Glen
