Re: Help with setting up
You should only need tunerpro and the right ADX file for logging. That will be different depending on auto or manual, there is a different one for each. Dont use the plugin.

Have you read/tried the "TunerPro Getting Started Guide" towards the end of the ALDL basics information thread? https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... f=10&t=219

Re: Help with setting up
I Just went to that forum & made a copy in word!
Although I pretty well have it all sorted I like to have reference material to always look back on!
It's attached if anyone else wants it!(pretty basic & good read!)

Re: Help with setting up
You need to be connected to your car, have the right com port selected, and have the car 'on' (engine can be running, but does not need to be). Also when logging only it will never say hardware found. That referrs to the realtime emulation hardware. If you only want to logging hit the "aquire data" button.

Re: Help with setting up
Go back a few steps.. You need to ID the chip in your car (for editing) but dont need to for logging. Get The1s tool here:
https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... ?f=3&t=905
Use that to see what adx file you need for vs v8, and the adx file should be included.
ecu files are waaaaaay old, so throw that in the bin. How do you plan to edit the bin? You'll need to at a minimum have a look at the 4 letter code on the memcal, then you can look that code up in the tool above and see which xdf to use to edit it. Latest version will be included with the tool.

Re: Help with setting up
For a VS V8 you can use the ADX called "VR_$11_v1.04-tp5.zip" from here .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=29
