Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
Hey Delco, I had a quick look at my word documents as i'm not with the car or software at the moment & I can't seem to find anything like ISP?
What does it stand for, one that I can find that could be like that is ISD:BAPRPM which i think is idle speed for low barometric pressure I think,
So I think i'm way off i'll keep looking, thanks for the news!

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
How have you wired the range selectors? As in what gear are you telling the PCM it is in all the time?
Also, I think most of the arab bins are leaded based (open loop with no O2 sensor). I dont have any info about CARN and if it is or not.

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
idle proportional spark i think it is if i remember right it causes most of the hunting at idle in the kalmaker bins there will be rpm settings which control how far past the target rpm it can go before ips retards timing to pull the idle rpm back and shit you should be able to find IPS : max retard and set to 0000 may stop it happening.do those vt bins still have boost control in them i hear some of the bins remove it maybe its not bypassing the charger on idle but yeah normally the ips causes everyones issues

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
as above IPS spark should be info in the HEA5 readme if you have that theres a bit of info about it in there. is the manual trans flag set in the tune might help too if the kalmaker bins have that flag in them

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
Thanks Guys,
All Handy Info I shall go checking now, as far as answers how do i wire in range selectors as it is a manual?
& Yes I have the manual trans box flagged thank you, was 1 of the first things I did but I don't know why they have it if it doesn't automatically mask all of the trans variables & fault codes!
Cheers Guys, I'll get cracking!

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
Sorry VL400, I just re-read & it made sense this time!
I was actually trying to figure that out myself the other day, so I plugged my snap-on diagnostic into to read data to find what gear it was in but it didn't like being plugged in with real time development box!
I have a feeling it's wired to think it's in neutral, but how should I run it? anyone tried it & have advice?
& DelcoWiz sorry I forgot about your other question, i'm not sure about the boost control, how do I find out?
Because it is really strange, I just bought a 70mm throttle body(that is poorly manufactured so I don't want to name who from) & even with it completely closed I can still see light at areas & it idles at 800 rpm with IAC doing nothing could that be something else or just the poorly manufactured throttle body?
I found a variable SPK:IPS:MAXADV couldn't find retard but advance was at 5.3degreess so I'll zero that & load it in sram tommorrow & see how I go!
Cheers all!

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
a lot of the bored out throttles have a real shit fit on the new butterfly if the iac isnt open at all ide say its definatly no good. yeah that spk:ips advance is the one mate.is there any flags to disable comms in the software may stop your engine light issues while tuning.i think VT ecus are fully populated so it should still have boost control there may be a flag for that too in the options somewhere,my guess is bad throttlebody and the ips that should get it a little better for a start.then it will need some logging too see what its doing when it starts too stall out or do its stupid shit at idle you should be able to see whats causing it in the logs hopefully.

Engine Light Issue, I don't know what other things to mask!
I've masked all the trans controls that I can see, but no one will tell me how to check for fault code issues through kalmaker, as when it is plugged into realtime computer my snap on scanner won't talk to it & tell me what else is flagged the engine codes!
There is an option to tell it that it is a l67 but not sure whether that will be all that needs to be checked!
I'm not sure about flags to disable comms? what is this & where would I find it?
Cheers DelcWizz where is your workshop?

Re: Using KalMaker Workshop
doesn't Kalmaker have a screen to list all the DTCs etc ?
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
