well the cam angle sensor is in the front of the timing cover below the water pump, check wiring etc for it, also maybe swap sensor from the vs one .... .. while the sensor is out, turn the motor over and see if there is a magnetic pickup in the cam wheel if not it will never work.

i will go and buy a new cam angle sensor tomorrow whilst the engine was out we changed the harmonic balancer so could the crank angle sensor throw the same code as the cam angle sensor at all ...

no it is the cam sensor, totally seperate ... before going and buying a new one why not use the one from the old motor ? it might not even be the sensor it might be a wiring issue or like i said the magnetic pickup thats in the cam wheel under the timing cover.

yer we took the cam sensor out and turned the engine over and the magnet is there . checked the wires they seem to look ok . and as far as putting the sensor from the other engine in i cant because i

dont have the other engine any more . ( only got a little shed and i got sick of tripping over it) . i got the motor and box off a mate and it was running fine in his vt till he hit a tree at 100k''s . is there

any diffrence in any of the sensors in a vt to the sensors in the vs . we also done the paper clip trick to confirm the codes and only got code 59 and 67 im am guessing 59 dont hane alot to do with it as its to do with the trans fluid temp and unsure on 67 ?????????????????? :wall:

Vs v6 fault codes ... http://justcommodores.com/articles/vs_computer_v6.php

If your getting different results in tp compared to the paper clip you may not be using the correct adx for logging.

VS V6 v1.01.adx
(83.09 KiB) Downloaded 318 times
this is the adx im trying to use , will the ecu having a aftermarket memcal in be causing the issues?
is there anypoint puting the ecu from the vt in and trying the vt adx. or the memcal from the vt to the vs ecu?

just had as look at the codes 59, 67 shouldnt stop the car from running should it ? im sure its going to be an issue when i try drive it but it should start yeah? :wall:

aslong as the chip is burnt correctly it should work ok, and the fact your getting codes out of it i believe means the tune is working.

question is, whats been done to the tune from stock ?
