lol amature mistake, iv checked the maf sensor and arrow faces towards the t.b it doesnt seem to be damaged in anyway but iv unpluged it whill the car was running and it did nothing ?
i have the maf sensor off the vt ill replace it with that and c if it makes a diffrence. i was just reading about the maf sensor and it looks like the maf sensor, iat sensor and trans temp sensor run into the same loom , could a short in the wire be causing the error codes coz the trans temp stays at -40 even when cars warm ,and the iat volts are 3.00 not 5v .

also i pulled the memcal out to make sure everything was ok and the aftermaket memcal in there is smaller than a stock one and doesnt connect to all the pins, theres 4 left that dont go into the memcal, is there any point getting a stock vs memcal? :comp:

Hi yes maf, iat, trans etc are powered by the same thats why i said check number 12 fuse as that is where the power comes from.
The next step have a look where the two plugs are for the engine harness (in the corner near the brake booster) there should be a grey and black one.
Now in the black plug there should be a pink with a blue stripe check for proper conection and if possible check for power with key on.
So if there is power at this point go unplug the maf and if you have a look at the wires going in you will see the same pink and blue wire see if the power is reaching there.
As for the memcal the after market holders that people make are shorter (there is a few on ebay)but the pcm doesnt use them anyway.
If you ran the chip before i dont see it been an issue.

Also when you have it running and your logging it grab the engine harness and wiggle it to see if the engine does any funny stuff.
I have had two vs harnesses stuff up between the pcm and the engine( the big part that goes across on the passengers side )
Do you know if the trans was ok before you got it? Just asking as we might be looking for two seperate problems.
There is a wiring diagram under the wiring section in this forum.

You should only get 5 volts power from the iat harness plug ( not enough to check with a test lamp)

data log 4.xdl
(81.79 KiB) Downloaded 310 times
here is the data log i give the whole loom a bit of a shack . error codes 22, 23,32 are gone, i unpluged the maf sensor at the end of the log just to c if it would set the code thats y that pops up.

could this have been the earth, is it possible to run a extra earth or two just to be positive theres no earth issue?
