You might also need to set the data size to 16 bit words.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

Re: VT-VX Clusters
Well here's those 2 other bin's with byte flip & lines up better with mine that the calc worked for which these 1's didn't the way they were so I assume this way is correct?
EDIT: just did the calc for odo with these new bins & these now actually work out to what there listed as, so this is obviously the correct way round.

Re: VT-VX Clusters
Firstly I Would like to say my hat comes off to you boys..... i found ths forum by mistake while doing some upgrades from level 1 to 3 cluster into a vs and now know how to program them . to be honest never was into electronics but no i am hooked.....
I would like some help in reading VT L3 clusters have read the posts but still am un sure of.......
What is the best programmer, below is a link to what i am using on my l3 vn-vs clusters with aa iscp board...
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/24Cxx-93Cxx- ... 3cc7b7667c
Does chip need to be removed???
What is the best clip to attach to the cluster or best position to attach???
What is the best software to program?
thanks
Daniel....

Re: VT-VX Clusters
Yeah all the guys here are great & could rebuild the country but properly if it ever fell apart!
Not sure what model the vt clusters went to MCU type do you have a picture of the circuit board?
But yeah will need to do some unsoldering the resoldering either way!

Re: VT-VX Clusters
These are the 2 types.....
But to do VX's you need different software & programmer (NEC mcu type) VT you can just do by removing eeprom & read then write... unless there's someone out there that could do it over the BUS...

Re: VT-VX Clusters
You're looking at the front of the board check the back side to see what eprom it has.
Re: VT-VX Clusters
Thank you.
Bottom has nothing except plug, cap, res & speaker....
Thoughts?
