Delcoed 750cc Motorbike Engine

Just got a hold of my latest project. I am going to attempt to Delco a 750CC twin cylinder four stroke motorcycle engine. the engine in quesiton will then be insterted into a go kart frame (The Edge mini sprint) and lots of fun will ensue. I have no idea what kind of engine it is. if any one can identify it that would be great. I cant find an engine number anywhere (I havent looked at the sump yet that thing is just too heavy for me )
My plan is to use a camira Memcal and $12P in four cylinder mode, being only a 2 cylinder, the ecu will only see half the revs the engine is really doing but I can adjust my definitions for that. also if my theory is correct, the four cylinder is expecting 90 degrees between ignition pulses so the engine will see double the timing advance that the ecu commands. again, I can just adjust my definitions to suit.
for the throttle body, again, camira parts, ill make a manifold 2 into one and have a camira throttle body and IAC valve mounted there. the injectors will be as close to the head as possible pointing in the general direction of the valve.

crank trigger. now I hope this is a reluctor, it looks like one to me, so my plan is to hook it up to a camira ignition module and use the coil that it already has as it is 12v anyways.

so there it is I do hope I havent forgotten anything HUGE that will be a show stopper but that is half the point of getting this thread out there. what does everyone think?

This takes the cake as the most out there EFI conversion I have seen on here! I have seen a harley converted to a delco, was on the kalmaker page, so it must be possible - and they are odd firing engines too.

Might have to add two cyl mode to $12P for you

How many pulses per rev from the crank trigger??

from what I can tell, both pistons go up and down together but are on opposite strokes, the crank trigger pulses once per crank revolution and fires spark on both cyllinders at once when both are at tdc (one at top of compresison stoke other at end of exh stroke) just like a v6 wasted spark .
I was comtemplating trying to hook up an oscilloscope to the trigger to make sure it does the whole zero volt crossing stuff.

proper 2cyl support would be just awesome you might also have suspected where im going with this he he. once im happy with injeciton there is nothing stopping me adding a little charade turbo to the mix.

I have one of these motors in a honda odyssey i thinks your going to have fun.
I found this motor to be a to touque monster.
In a kart traction will be fun

Looks a lot like my Honda CB650 engine, just missing two cylinders. LOL

I plan to eventually, after I get my licence and such, Delco my 1984 Honda Interceptor 500. I didn't plan on using ECM controlled timing, but may be able to adapt something like the above diagrams to it.

I just have to figure out a laptop mount for the bike.......
