Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
yeah could be getting excessive

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Might want to look at getting them ceramic coated internally to keep the heat in the exhaust gas and out of your engine bay

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
LOL, why you aiming for 38" long primaries? Are you going to attempt to do the same on the other side?

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
i sort of calculated that to be the right length but could get away with anywhere from 30-40 inches.the other side will be exactly the same length
guess i wont know until it runs down the street worst come to worst i can cut the last 6"s off and refit a collector and retest to see what works best.in the end i think its probably going to need bigger primaries and maybe shorter at the same time

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
the longer the header the more compression and timing you can run due to less reversion. i should probably just make a short version that collects before the oil filter and it would probably make another 100hp on the VB setup

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
Could always make stepped primaries.
Keep the existing pipe size at the cyl head, and then step up to the next size of tube at 15-18" along

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
i just dont really want to run long secondary pipes of a bigger diameter ill try the header as is and see how she goes
