Yep sounds like hes messed something up pretty good. If the revs are sitting around 2K, then its been programmed as a V8 instead of a V6, Or some weird number has been programmed in due to a failed programming sequence.

Must have really screwed up to do all that!. Id suggest to get him to check the airbag config, change that first. Then configure the Engine size (will fix rpms) then reprogram the fuel settings as a sedan. Also make sure that its on the correct car eg 02 VX ect not VT or something alike!
Should be able to fix it with the scantool.. unless theres been a major screwup!

it it was programed as v8 then the tach should read lower as more pulses are required per rev for v8 tach
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Not always the case.
For VY's, tacho pulse is 3 for V6 and 2 for V8
Whereas for VZ's, pulse is 3 for V8 and 2 for V6

(Or maybe the other way round) but they are opposites.

The VX clusters might be similar to the VY tachos.

x2. Thats absolutely right and why it would be reading high if set for v8 on a vx v8 - as if it was a v8 it would be a 2 pulse per rev ls1. The reason its that way is because its taken from the cam sensor with a divider, not the ignition.

Ah thats cool, Didnt kow that. I did make some notes of what the tech2 did and what it was changing a while back for the vt/vx clusters tacho. It was quite weird on how it was all formatted, wasnt exactly like the vy/vz's but same concept applies.

Ok will do that.

I don't get any faults on Tunerpro as well.

I've attached a screenshot of the Autel Scantool
