I heard they are alright now days but that is just what I have heard.

I personally want some JE 4032 high silicon forgies or similar for my ecotec. They would be custom job though due to smaller compression height.

I don't want the no silicon L67 rattler pistons common on the market haha

there is heaps of makers now.

JE
ACL/Mahle
CP
Diamond
KB (Kennith Black)
Federal Mogul
Wiseco ( ) Don't think these guys make 3800 pistons though, thank god!. The above do though.

just to name a few

Looks awsome!

Are you upgrading the rods?

If you don't mind, could I please have the part number of the pistons? Where did you purchase them from? I'm having trouble finding them.

standard rods other than ARP bolts and closed and honed.

the Pistons are through my engine machinist, and the supplier is precision international ....

link to their website and the options for V6's. we are using the PHO380060402H part number if you want different bore sizes, the 040 in the part number is the oversize option and so change that to whatever you want for the right one.

hypatec have been known as exploaders for a long time.N/A chevs with good hp used to expload them with the smallest hint of detonation just be very carefull with them

yeah we really wanted a better option but its either these really or something custom, apparently they are rated for 500hp, and the v6 sprint car boys apparently can't kill them, but no boost and methanol is very different to what we are using them for!

old stock of hypatech? What about old stock genuine

I just go to newgmpart.com

all the NLA parts here, you can buy most of them from their factory direct outlet.

you can buy genuine pistons and pretty much any component for next to nothing for the most part.

Though it seems the old buick is getting more expensive compared to the ecotec parts from these guys.
