Thanks for the help so with the ve table the higher the number the richer the mixture richer ?
And say the car runs to rich initially until it warms up would i change the idle ariflow ratio versus coolant temp ? to a lower value
Or something else.

Long answer: The ECU is trying measure the amount of air in the cylinder. The volumetric efficiency is how full of air it gets at a given manifold air pressure (MAP vs RPM). So say 200cc cylinder volume, with 80% volumetric efficiency, means deliver fuel for 160cc of air. If you have the right VE% and the right injector rate and temperature corrections then the fuelling will be correct.

Short answer: more VE% means more fuel.

Things are looking a lot better in the mixture now after changing a few settings i can get the 12p adx to connect but it doesn't see any data on the dash is it because it is configured to suit the nvram setup maybe ?

are you opening the 12p adx in tunerpro 5 or scannerpro, I dont know if it will work straight up in tunerpro. give scannerpro a try or use the attached def, I use it all the time on tp5
$12p - TP5.zip

Thanks looks like it might work bit late at night to start it up now.
but it was strange the first time i loaded it the wideband gauge was moving instead of the tps.
i closed it tried it in scannerpro then tried another ads then retried it and it seemed to be right the tps gauge was working.

Ok thanks for the input i got it going a lot better i ended up running a bfpm bin editing with tunerpro 4 changing spark ve f60 idle rpm etc .
still running rich though a huge improvent .
And lets say for example it is rich at 50 map 900 rpm and i lower the ve table value from 50 to 40 and it then runs the correct 02 value could i then apply the same difference of ten to the whole ve table or do i have to work it out individually.

Off topic idea what standard compression is mine is at 160psi

I removed a cap covering the idle screw tps adjustment whatever it is called now and adjusted it wich seems to have fixed mixtures etc at idle.

I do remember the correct procedure for this somewhere on the holden cd but considering my holley throttle body is off a jeep i am assuming it will be different anyway.
It seems happiest with the tps at .73 volts iac is around 60 steps but it seems to like it like that. o2 mv is jumping around between 400-700 but it is no longer in the red.

so you've stopped using $12P and your now using a standard bin just changing it ?

its unlikely the whole table will be right if you apply that 10 point adjustment .... especially with a different cam, bigger cams are less efficient down low and hense need the ve's dropped, but when you get into the cams power range you'll find you will probably need to increase the VE in those areas....

having said that you can probably drop alot of the ones in the rpm's around that area by the same amount and it will probably be close ....

as far as tps voltage its probably not too bad, but the iac steps are too high, you need to open the tps a bit more so theres less steps...

i don't quite understand this question ?

so i'm guessing you have the idle at 900rpm ??

Yeah my mistake it should have read any idea what the compression reads on a standard efi 5 litre

Yeah i stopped using $12p have changed base bins again to a standard vr v8 tune as i wasn't sure how to disable the knock sensor correctly for some reason my idle rpm changes weren't working in 12p i will use it again when i get the nvram still waiting 2 weeks seems like 2 months after all the changes i have been making luckily i have a few a few memcals laying around and am not desoldering either.
But i am learning i don't think the tps and iac are in sync with the tune so i have tried to get a happy medium where the iac has control from cold running to reaching operating temp without going off the chart at either end.
I have my rpm down to 850 at the moment and idle seems ok mixture is rich but not fowling plugs like before .

I can't remember the idle timing will log it tomorrow
Heres a link to a throttle body the same as mine it is made by holley but standard on an american jeep
