Don't know how long I've been here, but unless you understand some of the jargon your going to get lost fairly quickly on this forum, I guess it weeds out the bad apples before they ever bother to register.

I do remember delco linking me over hear in the early days though.

its was 10s of pages long with arguments left and right. not one person touched on the fact that a brace is used on cars with mc pherson strut, where the sole reason is to maintain suspension geometry by eliminating flex in the towers. which 0% applies to live axles lololol
You musta missed my posts, I think I was trying to suggest as you without been rude, then just got plain stupid :)

It's good to get in those threads, even if it's only to take the piss. Some people will believe anything if it's written on the inter web thingy :D

Holden202T wrote:agreed, main thing i like about this forum is people just share their shit, none of this "my secret tune that no one can see!" everything i do is posted online in the custom tunes sections and happy to help out as others have done for me!

I know well enough that any tune i do is never going to be perfect in another car so theres no reason not to share it, the recipient will still have to do their own tuning to get the most from it but the ground work is there for a base tune.

And the rest, well i put as much online as i know to be true from my personal experience because alot of what i've done there was no answer for, other than "don't bother" or "it wont work" .... well it does and now the info is online so maybe the next person will be able to do it a bit easier and the world is a better place from it!

I'm not out to destroy tuning shops, because you pay money for a tune done by an experienced operator, but i also believe there is far too many money hungry tuners out there with NFI and so im happy to help out the home :worthless: tuners to avoid getting ripped for something they can do just as well themselves at home!

the efi world was once a "black art" that you always got scared about taking your car in for $$$$$$$ to fix an engine light ..... thats fast becoming an open book and the world needs it :)
Well said mate why be defensive about tunes no two engines are going to be the same if anything your just giving them a slight head start so at least it can run and drive
And that's why this forum is pretty much perfect it's giving guys advice, help and a head start

It was bad for me to do that lol. In other forums people give me shit for anything I post, claiming anything I post as made up even if I well document something with photos as proof.

I am very well hates in some communities because I don't conform to their way of thinking because I stand by what I know from my experiences. I gave up trying to contribute knowledge and experience and just troll these forums for fun, they can't tell the difference anymore haha

Its very different here with the way we all communicate and share info and experience, no singling out, no personal attacks, non judgment. When someone here makes a mistake and its pointed out, there is none of the defensive stubbornness that leads to fights. Just acknowledgement of the mistake and the opinions of others, problem gets resolved with no fuss.

Its great! I hope it stays like this.

lol, I wasn't even referring to JC at all, when I stepped into JC, pretty quick I knew to back out so I wouldn't have to deal with it.

What communities I had real problems with are other VW enthusiasts, a lot of the people there are quite nasty which come as a surprise as most are the older generation which I thought would be easy going people.

on JC, most are young and just dickeads as a result, doesn't bother me much as most don't know any better. No enemies on JC as far as I know.

The thing is, a bunch of the VW guys actually went personal in public against me, which is pretty low considering they don't even really know me as a person. These are suppose to be grown men in their 40s and some in their 50s, spewing nonsense about someone in there low 20s at the time they only just met really.

From there a lot more people started doing to personal attack crap. I just have to laugh lol, its not my effort or energy being wasted.

none of that here, like immortality said. The knowledge needed to understand stuff on this forum has weeded out all those sorts of people.

Agree! I love my 5litres and all I get on those forums is "put an ls1 in it" and get bagged out every time you mention 5litre.
