Just started measuring out the size of the reluctor wheel needed and where the sensor will go and I worked out the height of the bracket that holds the sensor needed to be within 27-29mm off the face of the timing cover too the centre of the sensor and when I measured the side of the cover plate on my spare VY diff their the same height and as I am selling my SS I'm going too cut the sides off the diff and weld it too the timing cover then I can start planing out the trigger points.

yeah the sensor mount needs to be rock solid. ive done a few and any vibration on the sensor mount will falsely trigger the module and cause wicked backfires.

I'll see how well the timing cover takes a good penetrating weld.

I think you're barking up the right tree there.

As I've seem too have lost both of my abs sensors and as I was looking I found one from the diff of a R33 skyline seems to be same type and might fit the commodores mount and I was wondering if anyone knows if it can be used?

If it has 2 wires, it will probably be fine.
