lol thats weird? I had the opposite experience. I was spewing actually. I have an unused roof lining I can't use as its got holes for the mirror but I want to stick to the glass mount in the VR.

LOL I done the same on a vs,i had a mint vr hoodlining with the hole so I had to use the vr mirror.
Cause if I had to buy the correct hoodlining I would of doubled the value of the car
Nice job on the vr so far.

cheers!

yeah my roof lining is one I re-upholstered my self, but it is the wrong colour for VP as the charcoal lining material wasn't available at the time, then I did get some of the right colour. but this one is the right colour more or less for the VR and I can't use it.

I can't even sell it. damn cheap ass "other" commodore owners lol

it is!

so the list is reduced to this.

cruise control safety for the clutch, PCBs are being made this week, just getting on to a laser cutter for the sensor mounts now.

refit steering column.

gear box to be have basic overhaul and fitted, new VSS to be fitted too.

fit tailshaft

refit injectors

fit modded 808 and then we can have a test run!

Then after that:

windscreen replacement

roof lining

get the rest of the exhaust

fit bonnet and new insulation mat

decent tyres and front end alignment

sort out some new front guard badges (black paint peeling off)

roady and rego

tuning time! and fun!

When the good warm weather comes again, new front bar to really make it look new.

Finally some sunny days as of recently.

Enough to get a good look of the progress, engine looks a million bucks :cash:
yesterday I did the best hand wheel alignment job I could and lock in the tie rods at that. Slight toe in (measured about 3-4mm) , and roughly centralized steering.

PS rack all sorted, hoses done and DXIII filled. Coolant done about a week ago, no leaks, shouldn't be any as I had it all running when I did the major gaskets. Only thing different this time is the timing cover and water pump but I sealed those to the best of my previously experiences and little tricks I learned in the past. Also sorted out my WB wiring. I made it plug and play but using a faulty O2 sensor's socket, removed the wires and soldered in the WB, extra green wire with single way plug goes to the cabin where it plugs into the harness near the ECU. I just hang the wire though the door and close it in there. Works just fine
