Thankyou for that one, I noticed quickly that there is a link there back to vl400's logger here, so I read through all of that and was very impressed by what I saw, like festy's. Spose im going to have to look further into linux programming and suitable hardware

If you solve how to get 8192 baud from an FTDI via the linux serial API please let us know.
Having said that, maybe 115200 baud with a divisor of 14. Only ~ 0.4% error rate. hmmmm.

No idea, but I will do some digging and see if I can find out. I have a couple mates who are programmers (one professional the other not so much) but neither have had any experience with automotive related stuff.
