Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
the duralites are not the race series ones, but they are still plenty fine, they are whats in my motor
the main difference I can see in them is they have a bigger skirt than the race series pistons.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
these had a small skirt looked like they had clearance for counterweights.were quite a bit lighter than stock rod and piston combo.cam got paid for today dont have all the specs yet but its high in the 230's at 50 on the inlet dont know what the exhaust is yet
custom cut for the extractors style manifold could be out there on the exhaust to inlet split have to wait and see

If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem
Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
last time I looked race series pistons had thin top compression rings normal duralite is 2mm race series is 1.5mm and short skirt
Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
that was a while back tho might not hurt to check

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
it doesn't really matter
if they are duralites it will have it cast into the underside of the piston on one of the skirts from memory.... either way they will be perfect for what you want!

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
so heres the best pics I could find
firs this one is the duralite, full skirt.
race series piston with less skirt
so if your saying that there is reliefs for the crank then its probably the race series ones you have.

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
yeah looks like the 2nd pic but more dished should be bulletproof compared to flat top 40 overs or stock 3.3 black flat tops with 20 cent peice size dish in the middle LOL
