I thought the main reason the coil was back there was so it couldn't be hot wired ? Any other reason dosnt make sense as it's not an atractive engine bay

don't know TBH.
But you'r right, not very attractive to look at.
Looks much better with a more traditional intake and 1000cfm throttle body on top
TBH though, I do like the look of a functional engine bay. All those fancy engine bays look nice but I don't think I'll ever worry about trying to hide wiring and stuff like that.

On the injected ones there's no place it could on the engine without sticking out like a sore thumb.
I guess you could jump it on a vn/vp to get spark but then you got to get the ecu fired up and steering lock off so they usally went straight for the barrel. Then of coarse you have vats on the later ones which made it harder.

Don't quote me on it, just what I was told years ago, holden could've mounted coil on firewall, I agree, can't wait to get new manifold and tb on my HQ and unlock a bit more hp
