yeah I did the 4L60E speedo option into T700 .... I was rebuilding the box anyways and wanted it to just plug straight into the VR V8 Auto PCM - it was just press the gear onto the output shaft and then remove the VN speedo sender from the extension housing and fit the 4L60E unit in its place

link here for my thread http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic. ... 220#p48718

I have no idea what a T400 speedo drive looks like so im not sure if its possible with it, but it could be an option ... but yeah a few components and some soldering will get the current setup working fine! .... I would be putting the components in the cabin though, not at the gearbox end ....

Thanks for the info guys.
Great help as usual.

Was gonna put it all in a little box next to the ecu anyways

Built this today
Pink is ignition feed
Brown yellow signal from 700r vss
Just have to add the output signal wire on the bottom that goes to the PCM.
Wish me luck lol

Thanks mate :)
Should i worry about hooking the vss low to ground or not worry as its already to ground in the factory pcm. Just a bit of a pain to get a good ground and tape it all up neatly were it is as ive already tapped up the loom all the way to the ecu

Shouldnt need to ground the low pin as PCM should have this tied to ground internally on the PCB. But if you want to confirm it (and if you can get to the chopped wire easily), just measure the resistance to ground. If its close to 0 ohms then leave the wire open.

Once all your wires are in place, you can solder a loop of solid core wire across 2 points on the project board somewhere between the components and where wires leave the case. Then you can knot the wires to the loop and then feed them out. Leave just enough slack on the component side so that its sitting slightly loose there and that way if the wires are pulled the loop will take the weight and not put strain on the points where the wires are soldered in. Will make it a bit more robust, although not entirely necessary.
