Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
Heres my latest log and tune any recommendations.
I have basically just copied ve timing and idle and idle afr from another tune but now it idles fine when cold at 750 but as it gets warm it creeps up and sits at 1100 even with the idle screw in the throttle body all the way out.
Log was a very slow gradual rev up and down then a few quick hits afterwards.

i'd be checking to see if you have any air leaks or the throttle is not closing properly because you have 0 IAC steps .... you need you have about 10 steps at idle so it has some control over the idle .....
theres also an idle speed error in the error codes
what intake is on this thing ?

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

also from about 1600-1800 rpm up to about 3000rpm in the 30-40kpa area its really lean seems to step up nice and rich at about 3000rpm onwards though
i'd be increasing the numbers in the VE table from 1800-2800rpm to slowly ramp up to the 3200rpm area ... have a look at your VE table, theres a massive jump at 2800-3200 rpm smooth that out from 1800rpm upwards!

Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
Sorted the idle the iac was the wrong one.
with it all the way in was still sucking way to much air .
By the looks of it someone had swapped it before i got it.
Thankfully i had another holley throttle body the same as a spare so i swapped iac valve over and it's all good.

Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
you want it idling round 1000 anyway if it has a cam and springs or it will grind the cam lobes off pretty fast
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
It's not a very big cam but should suit my needs and work well with the other additions.
HYDRAULIC - Fair idle, strong mid-upper rev
range performance. Ideal in well developed
engines for street or moderate competition use.
BASIC RPM 2200-5500
crane Compucam H284

Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
if i write an unstacked 32k bin to the ds1245y and i put the offset at 8000 does that work with the jumper on on the nvram board.
And what offset address do i write to for it to work with the the jumper off.
