Get it running right with no blower first .. boost is just going to make it harder to get right.

Just a small side note, the boost VE table is not tied to the 20-100kPa table in any way. Its totally independent, the only time they interact slightly is the transition from vacuum to boost as both tables have a 100kPa column - you must make the the values the same in both tables. There is a boost multiplier table that you can use to get the boost VE table under 100% VE.

He already has a 2bar map ready to fit, we have tried it a couple of times with a 2bar bin that delcowizzid come up with but haven't had much luck getting to work, the engine fires then stops, disconnect the map sensor it runs. Getting it to run without the blower was the general idea & a means of learning how to tune an ecu.

i'd suggest getting the AFR's right with this bin your working on now so it runs on methanol without being lean once you've got that far then change the $12P settings to suit 2/3 bar map, plug in said map and off you go.

Not at this stage, Ive been busy building a couple of engines(HQ 350 Chev,HR 186 Holden & a 308 HJ 2door) fitting them & tuning for other people, so that's burnt any spare time that I had. Should be able to play with other things now, I'll just have to learn to say NO.

A little update to the chev engine above, it ran 11.7 @ 115mph using max revs of 5200 & not much traction in a HQ ute, so it has got plenty up it's sleeve when he opens it up.

I've been lurking in the background for the past few months, so it's time to get this car going properly. We haven't done any thing to the car since my last post, as he broke the gearbox. The synchro rings were well past there use by date & allowed the selector fork to over shift. He has reconnected the blower so I need to use a 2bar chip. We have a 2 bar map sensor, but as mentioned in previous posts that I haven't had much luck using a 2bar bin as kindly supplied by Delcowizzard.
