Hahaha, not sure my neighbors would be too happy, and in all honesty I reckon the tyre would pop before the diff!

Awesome! But agree, bigger skid is needed to really test things are working :D Noticed gearbox was happy on the 1-2 shift, need to check the 2-3 shift under skid conditions now.

I've been avoiding the engine cover for a while, but the weathers cool enough now that I thought I'd get stuck into it.

its slow going, lots of measuring before cutting and such, but I've pretty well worked out the shape I want and got most of the main bits cut out and fitted :)

theres going to be a kinda 45 degree bit in the gap at the back, other than that pretty well as you see it now.

Nice!

Is it going to be removable? Just thinking that the dizzy might be a little hard to get to

Looking good indeed. A bit of flat bar welded along each side with a couple of holes should make it removable, Just need to weld a couple of nuts under the body to screw into :)

would be even better if you could hinge the front of the cover off the dash somehow.

edit: don't forget to add a couple of cup holders :D

The engineer (vehicle certifier as they are now known) will not take into account the shocks. He/she will only look at the mods and meeting ADR requirements. The rest is blue slip job. NICE WORK so far. It's gonna be a beast. Love it.

immortality is all over it, going to be removable as a whole unit, that's how the originals are, just mines bigger :D and yeah I was talking with the wife today about cup holders!!

I'm also still debating a door at the back for dizzy .... but really not sure if it warrants it, hoping once its all tuned I should only need to remove the cover for servicing etc.
