Yeah i was thinking of trying one of them old vk brock style over the radiator intakes and maybe some bonnet vents but it is hard to find the right style vent that would suit the vr bonnet then have to put some thought into the water issues when it rains as well.

my mate reckons hes going to put a bug catcher on his, but then he doesn't have to rely on it on a daily basis either.

Not as far as i know, no one has reported it but not sure how many are using it in a VR or VS either. It is selectable for VR and VS so maybe check that it is set for VR if you have a VR. I have bench tested it previously and seemed to work ok but I am using a PC program to simulate the BCM.

The 'Map x: set=Lean cruise option, clear=VR Anti-Theft' is a XDF display prob so have fixed this in the next release, thanks! That flag is only for lean cruise and the one below it 'Map x: set=VS Anti-Theft, 0 = VR Anti-Theft' selects the type of VATS to use.

yeah well theres alot of things on this car that says pull over .... mainly the driver :P but hey its mainly for burnouts apparently so whatever works for him!

unless you have the map switch connected then you wont need the map b stuff.

what car have you got ?

vs = Map A: set=VS Anti-Theft, clear=VR Anti-Theft ticked
vr = Map A: set=VS Anti-Theft, clear=VR Anti-Theft unticked

as far as testing it, not sure i've never run 12P in a commodore with VATS.

Just to be sure i tried vs and vr and wouldn't start and then when i put my other chip back in it was like it was flooded.
I even did the the same chip with vats disabled just to rule out the chip being the problem.
I have a vr

I cant test it any further than on the bench using a PC as a BCM simulator, and using the current release version it works for both VR and VS BCM responses. If anyone else has a VR or VS they can test that would be good.

I also burnt a standard BMZL (your still using this to test with?) and it responds to the PC software BCM packet and enables the injectors - however this is a VS bin so responded to only the VS VATS packet. I also tried a BLCF bin and that worked for the VR response.

The bmzl i have has security disabled i will blank a memcal tonight and throw a stock blcf bin on and confirm if you like.
Just to make sure there is nothing wrong with my setup but it was all working as it should a few weeks ago when i tried a genuine blcf memcal in it'
I will try a different computer as well.

On the nv ram i am running it without a memcal attached and in write enable mode if that has anything to do with it.

The odd bit is the flooding bit after trying the vats enabled shouldn't the injectors be turned off if their is a vats issue ?

Yeah all the VATS does is stop the injectors - and can confirm that it certainly does on the bench so the flooding is weird. Having no memcal attached makes no difference to the VATS.

You have spare VR manual ECMs lying around? :shock: If a standard bin with VATS works then 12P should too, the ECM wont be faulty. An '808 with the USB board will always fail VATS as there is no one wire ALDL link to the BCM and depending on how you installed the USB board to a VR manual ECM it will knock the one wire ALDL out - installed using the 3 pin ALDL interface is the correct way.
