Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
Yeah i have 3 or 4 vr vs manual pcm's but i forgot the chip i tried yesterday was a blcf and it worked was downloaded from this site i never checked to see if vats was enabled though it seems it is only a problem with 12p i will write the stock blcf bin to the nvram tomorrow just to eliminate it.

Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
what offset did you write the bin to the nvram at ?
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Well thats really odd, plenty of people have used the NVRAM with VATS and its been ok. You dont have the jumper setting set for PCM by any chance? All my testing was done using the NVRAM, but was only on the bench not in a vehicle.Dec_head wrote:OK i wrote the blcf tune to the nvram and it started for a bit and died

Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
The pins are slightly different for an ecm and a pcm. In VR PCMs if you dont have that set right data gets written to the nvram when its not meant to and it corrupts things. Set the PCM jumper, reflash your nvram and see how you go.

Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
Actually it should be off in a VR/VS ECM, the VR/VS auto PCM and later must have the jumper on for the reason's antus described.

Re: Delco tuning for for dummys
odd i just tried it on and vats enabled and it fired up
i was having corruption issues every now and then with the jumper off.
will see how it goes with it on.
