Its fun to watch your build. I seriously considered putting a turbo on the VK when it was still a EFI 202.

There is a few more rocker arms than needed?

Yeah I like the new motor part of the equation really enjoy working the combo out then putting it together and firing it for the first time!

And this one is by far going to be the wildest cam I've used in any of my own engines, so should be nice and rough at idle!

Yeah comes in a v8 kit, sbc 1.6 ratio!! It's good to have spares!

So picked up the bored block today and got stuck into cleaning the bores and dummying up the crank and a piston, they are approx. .010 out the top of the block, with it like this i'll end up with about 11.5:1 compression, so going to have to machine the tops off the pistons to get it down to 10-10.5:1

so now all that's been sorted out, i need to get the block mods done to suit blue/black motor head then next stop for the motor will be acid bath and some more machining of the deck and such.

and balancing of the rotating assembly, then hoping I can get it all back before Christmas holidays and then I should be in a position to have the short motor assembly sorted!

yeah im interested to see the difference it makes, previous motor saw a max of 22psi boost and after running a 10 I backed it off to 15psi to go slow enough that I wasn't requiring all the changes to safety, and my thought is to start this new motor with a 10psi spring and see what it does, if it goes close to 15psi times i'll know theres more in it :)

and with the extra rpms this one will have it should mean I can do the 1/8th in 1st and 2nd .... previously I was shifting to 3rd just before the finish line.

its 3.45 at the moment, I know its wrong, but I am not sure exactly what I need, the time I did the 10 second pass my data logger didn't work .... so lost out on data there, so till I can have a good run over the 1/4 to see what I need that's what I put in it (was 3.08 for the 10)
its either going to be 3.7 or 3.9 I reckon

its about 150km's over the finish line of the 1/8th so I guess I get about 150kms out of a trimatic 2nd gear, tyre is 26 inch I think
