What did you actually buy it for anyway? Making some actual products to sell, cases for equipment?

Thats a great looking setup, keen to see what it can turn out.

Also find it amusing that you print parts for the printer!

Can also print a brand new case for the extruder/Fan assembly. And think I read a GO Pro mount can be printed also for timelapse videos

Figured Id do a quick update on the 3D printer.
Absolutely love it. The auto leveling ect really does help make the printing accurate and nice. Its been used to build OBD case prototypes, cogs, brackets, Angled wedges, custom plugs and various other bits and bobs!

Iv found there are warps in the product when it was still summer and the aircon was on. Since then Iv been putting a plastic box over the unit while printing to keep it clean and happy!.

One thing Iv found, cleaning the nozzle is a MUST. Dust build up on the plastic ends up as burnt crap down through the extruder and slowly builds up in the nozzle. I leave the nozzle over night in acetone and clean it as best as possible.

other then that.. Really happy with it! Its a bit pricey but its solid and works a treat

I recon the next fast prototype invest has to be this beast: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/vo ... escription
Never wait for prototypes again.. print it and test!

Iv been wondering about how to make up something to smooth the prints. The annoying thing with acetone is it bloody evaporates too quickly.
