Can't connect flash tool or tunerpro ?
Re: Can't connect flash tool or tunerpro ?
Uninstall the drivers and manually install the FTDI one's first. If no luck you could send the ECU and nvram off t be tested on a working set up to rule out laptop problems but hopefully we can work it out at home save a few dollars on postage.
Does the engine run? That would confirm a working ecu nvram at least.

The engine doesn't run....but that may or may not be because of the nvram.

It sounds like you suspect you have uploaded something bad to the nvram. Turn they key to on and listen for fuel pump click and prime for 2 seconds then click off again. If you dont get that yes you need to reprogram the nvram direct with a burner. Recommended is gq4x from mcumall.com.

Re: Can't connect flash tool or tunerpro ?
Just went up and held throttle to floor and she started but its like 20:1 afr because i accidently uploaded the wrong tune in tunerpro. It was an old tune from 2012 when the car was last run aspirated. I noticed it was a no go then turned everything off and was preparing to upload a fresh tune to start over but i am having this connection problem. Downloading onto old laptop now so ill see how it goes. The fuel pump works so does that mean nvram is ok?

If the LED on the NVRAM board turns off with the key its corrupt. It should stay on for 2 seconds after key off.
If that is the case, another option before reburning it is to pull the bin_sw jumper off and use bank 2 of the NVRAM.

The blue led turns off as soon as i turn key off. Which pin is the one to pull? Is it the one sticking out front?

Yes and says bin_sw by it. Remove the jumper with key off and it not running.
