V8 RPM Signal
Re: V8 RPM Signal
So its pretty much normal to see a rpm signal like this in tunerpro for a holden v8? Crank triggar or timing belt setup really the only way to get a smoother signal

Re: V8 RPM Signal
I don't remember who makes those belt drives for the Holdens but last time I did see one it was about $1800.......
Crank trigger would be the most ideal as it eliminates any slop from gears/chains etc.

Re: V8 RPM Signal
With a larger cam and stronger springs also get flexing of the camshaft along its length as the distributor is run of opposite end of the cam to the drive gear.
Not as big effect as the worn timing gear, but it does all add up.

Looks like the maker of that timing gear was alcohol racing components but they don't look to be around anymore

Re: V8 RPM Signal
Looks like standard nascar timing set.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
