if your referring to the outlet of the pump (the left hand end in the picture) then no they are one way valves to hold pressure in the fuel rail after priming.

No I am looking at the fittings at the inlet (I think) opposite end to the electrical terminals there are a round component between the 2 black fittings.

Maybe their an adapter for the nuts?

ok so in the picture, the bottom pump is just an adaptor to go from M18 pump thread into a female -10 JIC directly onto the surge tank, the top pump has black M18 to -10 male adaptor, then -10 barbed fitting, rubber hose, then another -10 barb to go onto the surge tank fitting.

i think you might have some flow issues with the hoses in that configuration sammy ;)
