sammy, i do haz a question.
both your pumps solid mount to your fuel surge tank.
is that a good idea? they vibrate etc and am just wondering whether over a prolonged period of time the solid connection might crack/fatigue?
please correct me if i am wrong.

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
I dunno I guess its possible, I plan to get some mounts for them and shim them up so they are supported correctly, so we'll see
my brothers setup came like mine is and so far has hasn't had any issues....

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
yeah that's pretty much how mine will be, except I have the two hoses going off the pumps into a screw on fuel filter which has 2 x inlet and 2 x outlet, I have just one outlet going to the rail, nice way to get the 2 into one!
that above one is interesting, it looks to me like its two big pumps, then feeding into 1 x -6 outlet!

Those 90° -6 fittings aren't even full flow units.....Holden202T wrote:yeah that's pretty much how mine will be, except I have the two hoses going off the pumps into a screw on fuel filter which has 2 x inlet and 2 x outlet, I have just one outlet going to the rail, nice way to get the 2 into one!

And the wiring on those pumps looks a bit odd too.

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
yeah set to run both at once off the one wiring.....
I run my second pump on boost only with a flex output, saves excessive heat/cavitation in the fuel system.

Can't hear the best running yet. Great progress. Please let everyone know beforehand when it's hitting the track. Might just take a run up there to watch.

Yea. 90% of the work takes 10% of the time and the other 10% takes 90% of the time.

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
true that, especially this time of year, I haven't had much time this week to do much more than receive stuff I've ordered and take photos of it all for you lot, its not going to improve much till after new year I reckon!
