so replaced the resistor on my VX yesterday. all good. i have all speed fanny. nothing like good intermittent speed fanny.

took one of the calipers apart i had for the track car from the passenger side. came apart fine, pistons are good, still had clean fluid inside it which is good. TBH would have been ok but want to go full VSH spec as they are brakes.

for the slides, i read two competing things. use rubber grease, or some other type of grease. which one?

cooper coat/nickle coat is all i use, ive used ordinary grease aswell,
why have one 202, when you can have 12 and counting, 30+ car graveyard just for fun aswell

Use the right high temp grease, standard grease melting point is to low, especially for a race car that will see plenty of heat in the brakes.

Permatex make the good stuff, available in small satchels which have more than enough to do all the calipers on one car.

I use shell mining/aviation grade molybdenum disulphide grease.

so the kit from GM comes with the lube/grease you need for the caliper.
