So sequential is not an option using the Ls1 style pcm ? Is that because a vt distributor isn't compatable

I checked what i have on Flash PCM's for VX VY V6 there is no V8 code in there like the older pcm's
Looking at the wiring diagrams VT V8 and VT V6 E1 & E5 are the extra pins for the 2 extra injectors. Not used in V6 by the looks. Also VS V8 Series 3 with MAF should be sequential to, though you can't run VS V8 code on VT PCM or VT Code on VS PCM.
Ecotec and VS/VT V8 run essentially the same code, Sequential is done the same way with cam signal just that 5v gets run to the PCM, where as ecotec has 12v signal to the DFI, then dfi sends 5v to PCM. With Sequential Mode and when it operates im not actually sure, from memory looking at the code i thought it was while it was in closed loop mode, Hence why on later models they kept pushing the Power Enritchment mode enable up and up trying to keep closed loop going, i have never seen details about it stated in Holden Manuals, ill have to investigate further on that.
Well i may need to nut the code a bit more but to me it seems this.. there is a routine that syncs End of Injection data, 3x and cam pulse to TIO, i can't see anything that bypass's this, the DTC routine is separate it just checks if there is cam pulse, if the sync doesn't happen then the hardware doesn't disable the other injectors so they all fire i presume. The code itself for fueling is still actually still banked, so nothing has changed since buick code other than adding hardware in pcm for individual injector control and another routine to do this. So while there is cam there would be sequential injection, unless there is something in hardware that turns it off after so many rpm but i wouldn't' think so.. If i find anything else ill update.
just a further followup, tried on the flowbench inputting a dummy cam signal and it happily stated cam signal present and had no drama going up to 6000rpm or beyond, measured the fuel output on an injector and it's defiantly working
V6 and V8 PCM are almost identical, The software configures the TIO to use 6 channels as injectors on the V6 whereas it uses 8 channels on the V8

Are you able to simulate WOT with that to see if there's any change there?
