Sequential injection

Post by jezza351 »

Hi guys , just wondering what options I have running sequential injection .
Currently running 11p with nvram in a 424 , was running a 355 that had a single plane
That suffered from significant distribution issues , all four corners were running rich and 4 middle cylinders were running close to spot on .
I've changed plans and have gone a single turbo setup , I can lessen the distribution issues with the stock bananas but will run into high inlet air temps and an obvious restricted manifold.
I will be running e85 and want to use a harrop single plane and be able to tune each cylinder essentially , what are my options ?
Cheers guys

one of the ecotec pcm's, if you run a VT PCM you can pick your code VT/VX/VY S/C enhanced as long as your not worrying about security or BCM data, you would have to change looms and go back to MAF, you can still run a MAP sensor on the spare input for datalogging if you want.

How would an ecotec PCM work sequentially on a V8?

They all were used on v8 before the LS1 came out (A5 and A6 code). Put in a V8 enhanced code (See the A6 codes at the end, set manual flag if used in manual application).

factory options, BCC, OS information (but not variations), and pcm service numbers: https://pcmhacking.net/memcals.html
enhanced mod (V8 options at the bottom of VS and VT MAF PCM): viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2518

Im not sure if there is ability to tune per cylinder or sequential on V8 (no experience with the v8 hardware) - The1?
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

sorry didn't read it properly, VT V8 5L was MAF and Sequential, it has Cam Signal, So VT V8 Enhanced Code on a VT V6 or V8 PCM would work.

Thanks for the info guys , was hoping to stay away from a MAF as its a rear mount setup , as its one of the only options can the MAF be used reliably in the charge pipe ?
I don't want to go aftermarket as the Delco has never let me down , but it's looking like a possibility at this stage .

Could I get you to clarify how a V6 PCM would work on a V8 running sequential injection?

I've never done it but I assume the pcm is physically the same , just the tune file on the memcal would suit either 6 or 8.
Pretty much the same as a vr v6 and v8 sharing the same pcm just different calibrations in the tune . Could be wrong but , others will know more.

Has anyone gone aftermarket and Delco together ? I want to keep the 4l60e and run that , possibly keep the ignition through the Delco as it setup with a hi6 crane system and works well .
To run an aftermarket comp to run fuel only could I fab up a chopper wheel onto the harmonic balancer and use a pickup to control sequential injection ?
Have Done a bit of reading on ls1 comp running everything as well , anyone here done that successfully as I have hp tuners.

Just read through the thread where a bloke was using the ls1 pcm on a v6 , would have been nice if he shared his success and what was done to get it running .
