If the injectors are on the small side there won't be much difference between sequential and batch when you are pushing high injector duty cycles, but I have tested them extensively when doing the enhanced code and I found that once it has a cam signal it initialises sequential mode and stays that way until the engine is shut off.
Interestingly enough, at low engine speeds, the PCM sometimes fires off an asynchronous pulse on all injectors (in between sequential events) when there is a big change in airflow while still maintaining sequential operation.

I'm pretty sure the V8 code on V6 PCM works because the V6 still has output drivers on the TIO channels that the V8 PCM uses for injectors 7 & 8 (which are connected to the correct pins).
The V8 Code initialises the TIO to use 8 injection channels so the E1 and E5 pins used on the V6 as PWM are used to run the last 2 injectors.
Does anyone have a high resolution picture of the V8 PCM board? I don't have one here with me.
edit: Corrected misinformation :)

Haha ok my mind must have been playing tricks on me. they are pretty much identical where it counts. some of the flyback diodes are configured differently but i they are for different outputs

only change i can see between V6 and V8 is the two diodes at Q15 and Q13 which arn't there on V8 and the Blue Resistor which is there on V8 and not on V6 on the back just above the pink connector. Dazza can you see the value of it?

it is 1001, and it is connected to D3, CAM position signal. seems to be pull-up
