Finally got time to start from a clean sheet again and had a quick play with $12P 110files for BLCF
and its all working fine by the looks of my brief 10 minute test....so thanks to VL,Antus and everyone here.....time to play again.

quick question....i copied my original BLCF VE map numbers to the 12P VE map and smoothed the 65/75/85/95 cells etc and uploaded the bin. CEL came on and the car sounded like a top fueller :punk:
Does 12P interperate the files differently? I did this because the 12P VE files were all over the place.
I uploaded the zipped BLCF file again and uploaded again to the munro and all was good again....although i haven't read the 12PVE files again....had to do a runner to here and off to work now.
Otherwise great work to you all.

PS A Gen3 LS1 arrived in my garage on saturday.......i don't know what to do......lol
cheers....mario

it sounds like you were using the wrong XDF, the stock VE isnt really all over the place. are you using the xdf from the $12P zip package?

jsut to check, you willneed to open your original tune with the stock $12 xdf, copy the VE tables to excel then add the xtra columns, then open the $12P bin and xdf, then paste it in

Hi Jayme,i reckon you are right although i remember a while ago VL saying the 12P bin and 12P XDF must work together and i'm sure thats what i had opened....but i still think you are right as i cant think of any other reason.
Either way a great job done by all of you and wished i knew even a tiny bit of what you lot know.
I just see numbers everywhere....lol

I even tried out the data logging then emulating and uploaded my PPK setting quickly and it worked great.
Dash and monitor working.
My BLMs were logging 100's in each cell...should it be 128's? (this was just idling in the shed with a couple of revs)
One less USB cable to worry about hanging from the Ostrich now.
I'll have a better play tomorrow.

Hi 202,you assumed right about just the motor.
A mate went to the 6.0lt and had this for sale.My engine stand was empty and lonely and needed to be loved.
Thinking about the conversion but i've hardly played with the set up i have at the moment even though its stock.
I've seen the headaches with sumps, mounts, exhausts that a couple of mates have been through
with the GEN3/4 conversions including the silly prices of parts is the "keeping me with what i have happy" thing .
We'll see.....
cheers....mario

yeah 100 is normal, coz its been converted to a percentage.

im about to start trying to convert a 308 to injection myself.. have to keep the carby heads coz its in a boat and its got special exhaust manifolds. dont know about doing it like yours, looks like a lot of welding. im thinking of doing it something like this, using 4x siemens deka 82lb injectors. that way, I can move it to any engine with a spread bore mount.

You also need to make sure the 12P XDF matches the 12P bin version. If you download the current V110 package, use the 12P TP5 data tracing XDF to open a bin that was in the package, are you still seeing numbers all over place?

Hi VL,i'm using ....
OSE_$12P_BLCF_V8 bin
OSE_$12PV110-fixed_datatypes_for_tracing_1&2bar xdf
OSE_$12PV1.08_1BAR_TP5-fixed_for tracing ADX

VE-20-100kpa map numbers look good. From 6400rpm 20-100kpa upwards cells showing 50.00
Is the $12P-Message6-TP5-fixed dash ADX an earlier version of the V1.08?

Jayme...yeah a bit of welding on mine but if i did it again i would probably just machine up some bosses and tap into the runners. It was a manifold i had lying around and i was going to do it the way you want to as well.
What are those siemans deka 82lbs out of ??
cheers.....mario

If the BLCF bin was from the V110 package (you can check the version in TP using the first few scalar items - OSE12P Version Numbers) then its ok. The VE values above 6400RPM are set to a default value, if your seeing that then its prob the correct version.

The message 6 is a reduced message size to increase logging speed. Its so a small dash can be displayed at the bottom of the screen while RT, gives you around 3 times the speed but less params are logged (only the items useful to data tracing and basic tuning are logged). You can adjust the message 6 contents using the flashtool but will have to then edit the message 6 definition to suit.

the high impedance 82 lbers aka "Garden hoses" are aftermarket injectors, you just go out and buy them.
http://www.siemensdeka.com/index.php?ma ... ucts_id=13 I usually get them off egay, they can be had pretty cheap.

yeah I was thinking of getting some bosses machined and then tap and thread into the runners, might be an easier option, just on some manifolds there is a lot of shit in the way youd have to grind off.

Just a quicky.....tuning going fine.
I'm noticing the WB going lean whenever i accellerate/tip in at no particular revs or map.
Which AE parameters should i be looking at and steps to take.

So far very happy with $12P tuning...great job

In the scalars...what is RDSC? whats it used for?
cheers...mario

I've kept this in General tuning as its not $12P issues...just me :P
