Well the tech inspection day is over ...... where do i start, i guess in the morning
i had a flash back when i was loading the car on the trailer and thought WOW that looks different to when i first got it, so just for shits and giggles i thought i'd post a pic of the car the day i got it and a photo today (just over 2 yrs later) and im proud to say i think i've improved the toughness look of the car
the day i got it home.

pleasee note i haven't lowered the car at all, the commodore wheels just fill the guards better plus there was no engine in it when i got it and now theres a 6 in the front!
ok onto the tech inspection.... i guess firstly, theres stuff i need to fix, so no passing today.
List of issues:
* DONE - Fuel hoses need to be no more than 12 inches otherwise they need to be steel or braided (i am going to replace with the same stuff i used on the oil cooler lines above) - no big deal, just $$$
* DONE - Screw fittings required on oil cooler so i will just buy a new one with dash fittings on it .... more $$$
* HALF DONE - I need to check the size of my coolant overflow, needs to be atleast 600ml, im pretty sure its 1ltr but need to satisfy him - also need to block any overflow from it to ground.
* DONE - Apparently the padding i got doesn't comply, needs to be SFI rated, so i'll check that, if its not thats a cheap easy fix, also need padding on one other bar.
* DONE - The harness straps need to be connected to the taxi bar (right behind the seat, rather than the ones further back which i put them on (no idea why but easy fix and no cost)
* DONE - Anti Dive strap on the harness (the one between your legs) needs to be slightly relocated under the floor, thats a 5 minute job with a drill so thats easy.
* DONE - I need a triangle showing the location of the battery and it needs to have a kill switch in it to cut all power to the car, that shouldn't be a big issue.
* DONE - Front wheel nuts need to be open ended ... so i'll just cut the ends off the ones i have or maybe just get new ones ... either way easy fix.
* DONE - I need arm restraints, or window net, and he reckons because i don't have a full cage it needs to be arm restraints, so i'll have to look into that, shouldn't be a big deal i don't think.
So as you can see, not hard to fix stuff, but will require some funding so its probably going to mean i wont be able to get it all done before the meeting in december, its a bit of a shame, but also i would prefer to have a good holiday in december rather than spend all the money on the car and struggle to make it to the track and holiday!
on a side note, i finally purchased a new throttle body for the gemini to hopefully sort out my WOT vaccum issue ..... i said to the bloke i'd buy this 6 months ago and i was suprised he still had it

... $100 for a Yella terra 70mm throttle body, never been used - i thought it was great value
