Unfortunately not very practical in a 2004 GTO. I've seen a guy swap an E38 in a 2005 or 2006 that came with the E40. If I were doing an LS swap, I would just pick up the computer that went with the engine, a P59 for 24x or an E38/E67 for a 58x.AngelMarc wrote: Mon Jun 01, 2026 11:36 pmGet an E38 or E67 ECU and pester the people here working on the open source stuff.Phoenix wrote: Mon Jun 01, 2026 9:04 pmSign me up for that!dubcrazy8392 wrote: Fri May 29, 2026 6:46 pm one thing i was thinking about was adding 58x crank trigger support to the the P59 honestly. would be nice for he P59 to be plug and play friendly with a GEN4 LS engine. gets old having to swap cranks or the trigger wheels in a GEN4 LS to use my P59 ECU.
I've heard that the Holley software can swap between the two.
