Thats a VK2 or VL manual rack that 202 has cut up, I've been looking for one for ages

Ahh right VL manual. Sorry I jumped a bit quick there thought it was VN power assist rack.

I have to do this to my EH so watching the steering mods with open eyes. those racks must be from VK series 1 the series 2 are the same as vl not too sure what other changes besides the all alloy body of the rack in the series 2 perhaps Biggvl can chime in and let us all know.

yeah VL ones are alloy, they are pretty much like VN/VP ones but had non power assisted option and older style of input shaft.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
