Hi guys,
I am real new to memcal reading, i purchased some adapters from The1 and am using a t48 programmer.
I am unsure if my first read is correct and if i selected the right chip.
Is there a list that crosses the numbers on the memcal to a chip number to use on the programmer - eg mine reads delco bstk 1451, I have read it as a SST27SF010 as in the faq as this memcal is also from a vs.
I have also attached the file I pulled if anyone cares to have a quick look and let me know if it is as it should be

I use the XGPro programmer, that will give you the correct read, but you won't be able to write. SST does the eeproms you can write over a programmed chip.
Use AMD AM27C010 @DIP32
It'll give you the read, and you can check that they're blank after erasing

Re: New to memcal reading
look up bstk here to find out what pcm / operating system it is here https://pcmhacking.net/memcals.html
Then go to the holden memcals thread here
viewtopic.php?t=3
and download something with the same operating system and see how big it is. you'll probably be working in k bytes so multiply by 8 to get k bits, then put 27c in front of that number and thats your type. eg 32kb = 32*8 = 27c256 chip. The 27c means UV erase type. 29c means electronic erase. when the number gets up to 1024k bit you get other numbers like 1024/100/1001 and so on.
