Re: Possible Ignition Module Fault

Thanks for the reply.

Should it have thrown a trouble code or was the event to brief?
I am using the original ignition module as an input to an MSD system. So the module should not be stressed due to current flow. Does not mean it has not got some dry/cracked solder joints due to vibration.

Hi all, can you please give an opinion on what you think the hiccup is @ 4.36m and 6.41m of the attached log. The vehicle lost power during the instances. It looks to me either distributor or the igniti...

Possible Ignition Module Fault

Hi all,

can you please give an opinion on what you think the hiccup is @ 4.36m and 6.41m of the attached log.
It looks to me either distributor or the ignition module.

Log is for a VR V8 commodore.

Re: .bin ID

From what I was told it was for a VN GrpA. So I assume that it would be for a manual transmission.

Re: .bin ID

Sorry for any wrong doing.
I received the memcal from a friend and was curious if I properly read the .bin.

Thanks for the help and assistance.

Re: .bin ID

I use the Willem programmer, see attached images.

I believe that the memcal is supposed to be for a stroker VN group A.

can someone have a look and see if the attached .bin makes sense.
It is from a Chip Torque memcal and I dont know if I read it properly. I set the eprom reader for 27C512.

Thanks

mod edit: bin removed

Re: Generic donor TPS?

I just had a look on ebay and you can get something very similar to what I posted above from the USA for about $20.00

Re: Generic donor TPS?

You can use a generic glorified potentiometer like in the attached image.
Used to be able to purchase them from RS components or Farnell(Element?)
