Re: AI Mad Cow Disease
I'm seeing more and more responses on forums where users are using AI when they don't know the answer.

Re: Interesting youtube video's...
Shocking isn't it? but somehow I'm not surprised.

Re: IAC mechanical limitations??
Zero steps is fully extended (bottomed out in the TB bore) so max steps is the pintle retracted into the stepper motor.

Re: Nitrous system feed line help?
Yeah, I'm just wondering what that copper tube would be rated too?

Nitrous system feed line help?
Hi,
Do we have any nitrous experts here?
My car used to have a LPG system fitted that I have removed except for the main feed line from the tank in the boot to the mixer under the bonnet. Would the feed line suffice for use as a nitrous feed line?
TIA

Re: 4L60E Complete Rebuild
Ohh definitely, turbo cars that require lots of revs and spend ages sitting on trans brakes to build boost on the starting line is hard on everything.
I'm locking the converter as soon as possible on mine, drives much better. I'd be happier if I could lock it in 2nd.

Re: 4L60E Complete Rebuild
I don't disagree, the converter has to push back against the transmission. But does it push back against the pump? If the converter is spaced out correctly it shouldn't. I have seen one racer who had problems with the trans when the converter wasn't spaced correctly and it pushed back against the pu...

Re: 4L60E Complete Rebuild
Something else I'm not sure about is the relationship between line pressure and converter charge pressure.

Re: 4L60E Complete Rebuild
I've been doing the same in the tune, I just found it interesting about the excess line pressure potentially causing damage to the converter and possibly the crank thrust bearings. There is currently a class action lawsuit for failing 6L80's/converters and it's all about the built in converter slip...

Re: 4L60E Complete Rebuild
I use the lock up under moderate load, the stock L67 converter is too loose for my liking and I get much better acceleration with the converter locked. I was running Penrite DX6 but was slippy when hot under full load. Went back to DXIII and it seems better but I also put in a larger reverse boost v...
