VQ Statesman BCM (I know its not delco but.....)
Re: VQ Statesman BCM (I know its not delco but.....)
It's been a while but from memory you can use old remotes to program with tech 1, Just make sure you have 2 remotes when programming.

Re: VQ Statesman BCM (I know its not delco but.....)
hi there, old thread,
I have a VP Calais series 2 with HIGH spec BCM
GMH PART Number 92044 847
issue is i need replace the BCM as the Speedo doesn't register. I've narrowed down to the BCM as the VSS runs through it.
I've replaced the BCM but i noticed the car of course is still immbolized and the remote doesn't work anymore.
I'm aware there is tech 1 and you need the BCM module to recode, but this isn't an option is there anything you can do to make this work?
my final option is to swap over the MCU's from the original BCM to replacement to allow the immobilizer to work and IR remote as i believe the IR key and Immobilizer details are within.
im also aware of the ECU bypass is it to ground or 5v i supply from the PCM?
@ Delcowizzid I was told the trim pot on the BCM was for courtesy delay time of lights and immobilization time?
ideally i would like to keep everything in original state and not cut or install aftermarket locks or bypass immobilizer.
thanks

Vp immobilizer is basic to turn it off turn off the zadi key in the passenger door jam.or if you don't have the key drill out the security rivets holding the cover over the ecu and find the 4 wires coming from the zadi switch join the pink wires

I didn't think the VP had an imobiliser. I think the key was in the VR.

Thanks for the reply. The anti theft light is displayed on the dash?
I believe it does as swapping the BCM doesn't allow the car to start.
@delco I believe that's for the mongoose alarm type. You're referring too?

Re: VQ Statesman BCM (I know its not delco but.....)
Pardon my error..just saw it.. can I program the existing remote to the new BCM? .I noticed a unique 5 digit number on each bcm.
Ideally I want the remote to work..
Unless someone has tech1 and the bcm cartridge who can do it for me in Melbourne or tools to allow me to do it.
I have attached the genuine Holden 2 button remote
It has a 303.88 MHz RF crystal oscillator.
The scantools i have, don't support anything prior to VR...makes sense..no obd support on such model (VP or VQ)
